The Transylvania Community Arts Council Show Feb 28-Mar4

The Transylvania Community Arts Council is proud to present a new art exhibit and sale "Studies in Motion" by Tim Murray from February 28 - March 4. Murray's work encompasses a wide range of media: drawings, paintings, mixed media, prints, and sculpture. They are linked by their rhythmic qualities and their strength of color and form. The blending of media often makes one look again, for frequently within a painting there is a drawing; a piece of sculpture is, at second glance, actually a drawing in wood or ceramic or metal. There will be an artist reception on the opening day, Saturday, February 28 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. The public is invited to stop by and meet Tim Murray and talk to him about his artwork. Music for the evening will be provided by Blue Triangle Trio. Members of the band include: George Andrews, Bob Hamilton and Nonnie Cullipher.
