1) Guest Artist
Reception for April: Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 1:30-2:30
pm.
Our "Guest Artist"
for April will be Pam Haddock. Her work will be on display in the Grace
Eth-
ridge Room at the
Opportunity House throughout the month of April and continuing until May
7th.
There will be free
refreshments during the open house, and the ALHC library will be open
during
the reception. Be sure to
check out the books, magazines, tapes and DVD's we have
available.
After the reception, -
plan to stay for the April ALHC general membership meeting.
2) The ALHC
General Membership Business Meeting: Sunday April 19, 2009 runs from 2.30
–
3:00 pm, and it will be
followed by a demonstration from our Guest Artist - Pam Haddock.
Her
artwork was influenced by
the work of Tony Couch, Skip Lawrence, and Edgar Whitney. Pam
finds
joy in the process of
allowing the paint to do its wonderful work, and then enhancing the visual
de-
sign. The title of her
presentation is "How to Become a Loose Woman without Really
Trying".
